AC Misters is a company based out of Clermont, Florida that built its first Air Conditioner Misters system over 20 years ago.
We have tested many different ways to accomplish the ultimate goal of saving money and having a system that requires little to no maintenance; one that is easy to install and will not damage the air conditioning units.
Through our research and development we have determined that:
- Pre cooling the air with AC Misters prior to it passing through the air condition condenser fins will make the system run more Energy efficiently which will save money and extend the life of the AC unit (Only if the right amount of AC Misters nozzles are being used- which is determined by the size of the unit)
At AC Misters, the multi head allows you to install 1- 12 misting lines
(Most systems require at least 5 AC Misters to reach the maximum Energy efficiency. We recommend starting with 6 misters)- The water supply valve is probably the most important component. We tested air pressure water control valves mounted on top of the AC unit, high pressure water control valves attached to the AC unit, and 24 volt DC valves that receive the signal from the thermostat during the run cycle and the 24 volt DC valve is the most dependable valve in our opinion. It is not affected by sun, rain, or low freon levels. The AC Misters Kit comes with a 24 volt DC valve that also controls the flow rate of the water so you can adjust the flow rate of the water being supplied to the nozzles to maximize the air conditioners efficiency without wasting water or causing mold or excess scale deposits on the cooling fins.
- All AC Misters need to have a filter to remove the small particles to keep the AC Misters from becoming plugged. We placed our filter system at the beginning of the water supply. It is easy to access, clean, and reinstall. It is included in the AC Misters Kit.
- All Air Conditioner Misters cause a scale build up on the cooling fins over time and must be cleaned. We have included professional Coil cleaner in the AC Misters Kit. We recommend you use this product prior to installing the AC Misters; during the middle of the cooling season, and at the end of the cooling season. We have included a 2-3 year supply with the AC Misters Kit. Just spray on between cooling cycles. When the AC Misters come on it will do the rest.
- Most kits that are sold will have leaks or drips. All connections should be sealed with Teflon tape; which we have included for all connections.
